Amita & Daven: Laser Cut Peacock Indian Wedding Invitations
The theme: To celebrate their cultural roots, Amita and Daven wanted to showcase their Indian heritage in their wedding invitations. The couple wanted something creative and artistic and totally dared to be different. As a result, their Indian wedding invitations are both traditional and modern.
The traditional: I incorporated traditional Indian elements into the suite, including peacocks and peacock feathers and lotus flowers.
The modern: The watercolor wedding invitation was laser cut to the outline of painted feathers and florals. The envelope liner looked like a peacock feather tail, tying the whole theme together. Totally fresh and unique!
Custom wedding crest: One of my favorite elements in this design was the painted custom crest I created. It features a double peacock, who’s tails form a heart- symbolizing both unity and love AND Indian culture.
