Well, technically, this issue should be called ‘The Chronicles of a Boho Birthday Girl” but for consistency purposes, I am going to let this one slide. Because while most of my clients are brides and/or grooms, once in a while, I get to branch out and work on something a bit different. Like this first birthday party invitation! Most first birthday parties involve Disney characters, stuffed animals, a cute cake and some paper plates, but this one was NOTHING like you would imagine. Inspired by secret garden, there were giant trees, layers of moss, gorgeous flower arrangements, and piles and piles glorious cakes and desserts. And as always, a fabulous party deserves a fabulous invitation!
There is so much love and detail that went into creating this event! I love how everything matched the theme so perfectly!
I mean, those desserts were just fabulous: glamed-up donuts, macaroon towers, cake pops, cookies, AND a glorious birthday cake on top of it- there was no lack of sweets at this party. Don’t you secretly wish you were there?

The inspiration for this watercolor gold foil invitation was “secret garden”: an enchanted space filled with fairy-tale like elements, lots of greenery and florals and magical details. The colors for the invitation were set to match the overall decor- with deep purple, pops of pink and elements of gold. As in every invitation I create, all flowers were handpainted with watercolors (my favorite part of the whole thing!) and then I added some gold foil during the printing because gold foil makes everything simply better!
Oh, and happy first birthday, Sienna! She might not remember it, but one day, she can visit this post and reminisce about her glorious birthday party!
